Ivey and Betsy… what can I say about this couple; they’re fun, warm, lovable lively and the best kind of nerdy. They were married in an amazing cabin near Mt. Hood, probably one of the only places in the state with real snow! I had a blast at this wedding. They had so many creative, original details tucked into every corner of the cabin it was like a scavenger hunt trying to capture all the little inside jokes and hidden love notes to each other.

Google Launches “Google for Weddings” Wedding Planning Suite

Google recently unveiled an interesting little page called Google for Weddings filled with links and ideas for planning your wedding. Everything from using Google Docs to create sharable timelines and schedules to creating a whole personal wedding website with Google Sites. Might not take the industry by storm but it’s good to see all these tools put together in a way that helps brides out with some of the stress of planning a wedding. [Google for Weddings]

Under the Bridge, Over the Bridge: Late Night Portland Shoot

The fellas from FunkyFight.com and I headed to downtown to Portland for some late night, long-exposure shenanigans. We all got some great shots out of it but that also meant standing next to a tripod for extended periods while the bitter winter wind froze our toes. As usual, it was totally worth it.

Don’t say I never gave ya nothin!

er, um… just kidding.

This year I’ve restructured my pricing to try to combat some of the effects of our never-ending recession. I hate turning away wonderful clients because my packages are out of their budget, it doesn’t happen often but it does happen, so I’ve also added a basic package and some other options to try to meet people where they are. I’m not above working on a bride-by-bride basis either so don’t be afraid to ask if there are ways to shave of a few bucks here and there.

Still PLENTY of space on my calendar for this year and things are starting to pick up so don’t wait too long!

These free, high quality papercraft Canon cameras, created by Canon in celebration of the 50 year anniversary of their SLR line, are straight up BOSS. I love papercraft and I love cameras so this is probably going to fill up a lot of my precious free time for the next few months. Not to mention there are about 15 pages of printouts and 15 pages of instructions per camera so, man, gonna take a while. I’ll definitely post pics as they’re built and completed!

Holiday Boudoir Photography Packages

April & Eric are amazing. They got married in western Virginia in the beginning of October and were straight-up awesome enough to fly my wife and me out to shoot their wedding and spend the night at Firmstone Manor, where the ceremony took place. Best location shoot ever.
